Overview
From looking at the methods and costs of healthcare to lifestyle related diseases and their prevalence by ethnicity, this course isn’t a glorified workout regimen. You’ll study the principles of exercise program design, the key terminology associated with cardiovascular disease, the impact of stress on health and the role of exercise and nutrition in body composition. You’ll cover aerobic exercise for fitness, strength training and its impact on muscle fiber, bone health and more. You’ll also use yourself as a guide to determining personal wellness through fitness assessments and health risk questionnaires.
