Whimsical Faces: Five Minutes of Faces
Offered By: Skillshare
Course Description
Overview
Hi, I’m Jessica Sanders, a self-taught watercolor and mixed-media artist who loves exploring art and sharing it with you!
Whimsical Faces: Five Minutes of Faces
Let’s get loose and sketchy, and fill a page with faces in 5 minutes!
In this class for any level student, we will challenge ourselves to fill a page with whimsical faces in only 5 minutes! We will push ourselves to explore new supplies, new and different mediums, and become more comfortable with our own style of mark making. :)
Loosening up and pushing our creativity can be challenging. But, anyone can do it for 5 minutes!!
Before we get started with our challenge, I will share with you a variety of supplies options. Not all supplies are required - you get to pick and choose what sounds fun to you!
Then, I will walk you through simplified face drawing proportions in a whimsical style.
With no further ado, we will dive into our 5 minute challenge to fill a page with faces!! I will demonstrate, in real time 5 minute sessions, how to draw, sketch, scribble, and paint whimsical faces. We will step out of the box, and use some very unusual tools to create.
This is a no pressure class! It’s not about making amazing art - though you might! It’s about exploration, loosening up, accepting our marks, and becoming more familiar with faces.
As always, we will wrap up the class with a project using the skills and techniques we have learned in the class.
