This course is divided into 4 courses together as a bundle for you.

First part is about "DC Machines"

In this course we will discuss:

  1. Importance and construction of DC machines.

  2. Armature Winding And EMF Equation.

  3. Separately Excited DC Machine.

  4. Shunt And Series DC Machines.

  5. Types And Applications Of Compound DC Motors.

  6. Torque-Speed Characteristics And Speed Control Of Separately Excited DC Motor.

  7. Torque-Speed Characteristics Of Series DC Motor.

  8. Starting Of DC Machine.

  9. Armature Reaction In DC Machines.

  10. Losses In DC Machines.

  11. Dozens Of Solved Examples On All Types Of DC Machines.

Second part is about "Transformers And Magnetic Circuits"

For the "Magnetic circuits", we will learn the following:

In this course we will discuss:

  1. Importance of the magnetic circuit and its application like transformer.

  2. Difference between linear and non linear materials.

  3. Important definitions of magnetic circuits, flux linkage and reluctance.

  4. Analogy between the magnetic and electric circuits , the similarity between them like resistance, reluctance, conductivity, permeability, EMF, MMF, current, flux, magnetic flux density and current density.

  5. Induced EMF , fringing effect and ampere right hand rule or screw rule.

We will take 3 examples on the magnetic circuits to make it clear for you.

For the "Transformers", we will learn the following:

In this course we will discuss:

  1. Importance of transformers and why it is considered as the Backbone of the Power System.

  2. In this course we will discuss the construction of the transformer and its Main Components as 

  3. Iron Core which is responsible for the magnetic flux action.

  4. Magnetic Circuit  which is Represented by the iron core.

  5. Windings of transformer, types, categories and construction.

  6. Insulating Material between the windings and iron core + Transformer Oil and its great importance.

  7. Conservator of transformer which contains oil and its function.

  8. Breather which is used as filter in Transformer.

  9. Bushings which is important for human safety and protection from instant death.

  10. Tap Changer which is used to control the voltage according to the load variations.

  11. Cooling Tubes for transformer oil cooling and heat dissipation.

  12. Buchholz Relay in transformer for gas detection.

  13. Explosion Vents  for protection of transformer in case of internal faults.
