Strong Lines 2: Colour & Curves with the Pilot Parallel Calligraphy Pen

This class is all about coloured ink and pen techniques (pen manipulation), with a focus on the Pilot Parallel calligraphy pen.

These pens beg to dance and play – so, in this class we will look at how the pen can be rotated, twisted and flicked (pen manipulation) to give sophisticated strokes and line endings. But we’ll leave lettering out of this class and practice our pen skills while creating natural floral or ornamental motifs that will bring energy to any page.

This is the second class in a series, and it builds on my first class, Strong Lines: Getting Comfortable with the Pilot Parallel Calligraphy Pen. (That class is not a prerequisite, if you have some calligraphy experience, but this class does build very directly from the first one.)

This class will be valuable for calligraphers of all levels, as well as illustrators, the calligraffiti crowd and anyone who works with ink. It is followed by a third class, Strong Lines 3: The Gentle Gothics.
