A B O U T
The Portfolio Design course will walk any type of designer through the process of creating a strong design portfolio. The course will begin with basics in layout design using both a sketchbook and Adobe InDesign, move into the length and audience of the portfolio, image and text choices, editing content, and lastly how to either publish a digital pdf or send a copy to a printer and produce a professionally bound book.

Each student will learn necessary skills to create a portfolio. The portfolio is any designer's primary showcase of work to land a job or get into graduate school. This course will give each student the compositional, digital, and editing skills to create their own design portfolio. Students will also walk away with a clear understanding of expectations depending on the audience and different digital platforms (if the student decided to create a digital portfolio) that are common in the industry.
