Painting With Gouache: Glowing Greens - Spice Up Your Summer Landscapes!
Offered By: Skillshare
Course Description
Overview
Have you ever faced this challenge? You see a beautiful glowing green landscape full of light life and colour. You want to put it to paper but your attempts are just a faded reflection of what you see.
The greens look flat and the overall work just doesn't seem to do justice to what you witness. Yes, green landscapes can be a challenge to paint, I know it much too well. That's why I dedicated a lot of time and effort to figure this out for myself and now I want to share my knowledge with you!
My class will teach you how to spice up your greens and paint a beautiful glowing summer landscape full of light and colour using gouache.
In this class we will find out:
- What contributes to painterly green landscape
- What is an underpainting, how to do it right and what colours to choose
- How to create interest in big blocks of what seems to be just one continuous green colour
- What brushes and tools are ideal to create the right texture
- How to paint the illusion of light
- What tools are best for adding details
If you are new to gouache this class might be just a tad bit complicated for you. However I have two other classes on gouache that are perfectly fit for beginners. I really recommend you watch them first!
