Overcome Creative Slumps with Easy Art Play
Offered By: Skillshare
Course Description
Overview
Ebbs and flows are a normal part of creativity. Sometimes you feel inspired and sometimes you don't. Neither beginning nor experienced artist are immune to creative slumps or blocks. In the low times it can help to nudge your creativity along.
In this class I share five easy, no-pressure exercises to get you making art again. I'll demonstrate a patchwork collage inspired by improvisational quilts, a watercolor quilt block star, a page filled with doodles, color play with watercolor and little watercolor landscapes. For each exercise I'll share lots of suggestions and examples of variations.
I also share some general thoughts about why we fall into creative slumps and what we can do about it. Included with the class is a resource handout with more information.
