How to Draw a Comic Book Style Face on an Angle
Offered By: Skillshare
Course Description
Overview
Welcome to my class, How to Draw a Comic Book Style Face on an Angle.
In this class we will simply focus on drawing this one angle. You will first learn the process for strutting the head by using the Andrew Loomis method. This will give us a mannequin to work from and allows you to be more consistent with your character designs.
For the next step we will design the look of our face by drawing the facial features and the hair. We will not be using any reference for this class so feel free to draw along with me or exerpiement with your own concepts.
Then for step 3 we will clean up the line work. You will learn about line weight and line clarity as well as keeping our focal points in mind.
Finally we will ink the work. This gives us that crisp finished line work for our comics. I will be using Clip Studio Paint but use whatever tools you prefer. I am not showing the interface in this class. The focus is upon the drawing process not the tool.
I hope you enjoy this class and I am here to help you with any questions you might have. Good luck with your art and thank you for your continued support!
