Course Description

Overview

Ever feel like a “brown thumb”? Like you kill every houseplant you buy?

Well, don’t give up!  This class will give you the skills a new Plant Parent needs to not only keep their plant alive but to make it thrive.

Hello! My name is Carmen Whitehead and I'm a plant enthusiast based in Arizona. I have been collecting plants for 5 years now and I have over 150 in my collection.

This class is for you if you are a new plant parent getting your very first plant. Or someone that has a few struggling plants and feels like you need some guidance in your plant journey.

Every plant has the potential to grow and be its very best. The key is knowing what the plant needs to achieve that. Basically, what’s its “plant recipe” to live its best life. Some plants need more light and water, while others need much less water. You can apply these key ingredients to each plant's specific needs.

Key ingredients for a happy plant:

  • Light
  • Soil
  • Pots
  • Watering
  • Fertilizer
  • Humidity

Being a plant parent can be so rewarding physically and mentally. Watching something grow and nurture under your care can be one of the most satisfying feelings.
