Gelatin Printmaking: Making Decorative Papers

In this course you will learn how to make decorative papers using a gelatin plate, acrylic paints, stencils and various items you make have lying around the house that can produce an interesting texture. You will learn to  print on a variety of papers you may already have such as printer paper, drawing paper and tissue paper (gift).

For your class project you will print your own background papers. When you are finished you will have amazing one of a kind designs to use in your art journals, mixed media pieces and other projects.

This class is fun, relaxing and great for all levels and ages. I have done this project with 1st graders, 4th graders and 5th graders and they all love getting their hands dirty and being able to produce OOAK pieces of artwork. I often use my gelatin prints for decoupage on my paper mache sculptures.
