Felt Patches with Hand Embroidery
Offered By: Skillshare
Course Description
Overview
Ever wanted to make your own Felt Patches? This class is for you! Using only one beginner embroidery stitch, chain stitch, we'll go through colours, composition, outlining and filling in the patches.
I created this class after searching for a way to make patches that didn't give me sore hands or take forever. I'll teach you how to use an embroidery hoop and iron-on fusible backing to create beautiful durable patches!
These are the materials you'll need to stitch along with me:
- light coloured felt (any craft felt will do)
- embroidery thread (all colour numbers are provided in the Project & Resources tab)
- a 4 inch/10 cm embroidery hoop
-iron on fusible backing (ask at your local craft store!)
- a heat-erasable pen - like the Fusion pens
