DRAWING FUR – how to draw the fluffy fur of an animal

When drawing wooly animals it’s all about fur. In this class you are going to learn how to draw different styles of animal hair - from short to long and shaggy. After the basic introduction of different hair styles, we are going to draw a rabbit, whose hair shows different styles in length and color.

At the end of this class you will know how to draw furry animals and how to express their different fur styles.

Barbara Baumann is an Austrian artist and illustrator. She is teaching drawing classes since 2015 and is enthusiastic about showing the students how they could express themselves by drawing and finding their own style of drawing.

MATERIALS NEEDED:

• Pencils: ideally 6B, 2B, HB
• Sheets of paper: A4 or A3, the size is not important, choose the size you prefer
• Eraser, and ideally a kneaded eraser
• Blending stick (if you don’t have one, no problem: in my Class DIY Blending Stick ( https://skl.sh/2PZVaVH ) I show you how to make one)
• Pad (a make-up remover pad) or a tissue
