Course Description

Overview

Use your old computer components to mine for crypto.

This class shows you how to build a crypto-miner that works on the blockchain.  That miner can earn crypto-coins if done right.  Some crypto-coins are worthless, some are worthwhile.

Maintaining the cryptocurrency blockchain (also called mining) takes knowledge, construction, programming, work, and maintenance of your rigs.

It's all within your ability to do, though.  If you can plug in a lamp, you can build a crypto miner.

You probably have an old computer that has parts you could use to mine cryptocurrency.

This class shows you how to recycle old computer gear into a working cryptocurrency miner; a very important integral part of the new blockchain technology, which allows for rewards based upon the performance of your miner.

In this class you will discover:

  • The free software you need

  • The free online services you need

  • The list of computer parts you need (all of which you may already have, or can scavenge)

  • How to build your mining rig even if you've never built a computer (can you plug in a lamp?)

  • How to tie the software, services, everything together

  • How to mine cryptocurrency
