Overview
Do you know you could make your own doll via crochet? Yes, you can! And it's relatively easy. Crocheted (or knitted) dolls are also known as "Amigurumi".
Amigurumi is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small, usually cute stuffed animals and anthropomorphic creatures. The word is a portmanteau of the Japanese words ami, meaning crocheted or knitted, and nuigurumi, meaning stuffed doll.
If you are a absolutely beginner to crochet, it's advisable to know some basic stitches before watching this class. Minimum crochet knowledge needed are:
- Ch (Chain Stitch)
- Sc (Single Crochet)
- Inc (Increase)
- Dec (Decrease)
Familiar with all those stitches? Then you're ready to learn! This class is also suitable for fellow crocheter who already know how to make Amigurumi because I'm going to show some different methods for different techniques. Which I promise you, that you will change the way you work and start to use for every Amigurumi project onwards!

- Start with a neat and tight close loop in the beginning of your amigurumi piece
- Decrease the visibility of holes in your work
- Able to create a neat shape for your amigurumi
- Able to finish off with no visible hole
