Animation Basics: Learn How to Animate a Walk Cycle Frame by Frame
Offered By: Skillshare
Course Description
Overview
This class is the comprehensive guide on how to animate walk cycles. I hope this existed when I started doing frame by frame animation. In this class you will learn the basic key poses: contact, down, passing and up. You will also learn the movement of the body, how the feet would move as well as the hands. By the end of this class, you will be animating a basic walk cycle. My goal is that by animating a walk cycle you will understand better the principles of frame by frame animation.
Here's a summary of what you'll learn:
- Breakdown the character into a simple figure
- Keyposes in a walk cycle
- Animate a moving walk cycle
- Animate a walk cycle on place
- Animate on ones
- Animate on twos
- Flesh out your animation
Note: this class is not for beginners or first-time animators. If it's your first time animating please take my class: Frame by frame for beginners before taking this one.
