Make it Rain in After Effects : A Digital Postcard

Our goal is to create the illusion of rain falling over a scenic background, using the tools available in Adobe After Effects.

The topics covered include:

• Making rain with a particle emitter
• Creating large and small drops on the lens of the “camera”
• Adding ripples and waves in the water
• Creating a layer of rolling fog over the scenery

We'll use Photoshop to turn our rainy scene into a digital postcard in the form of an animated GIF.

At the end you will be able share your rainy scene in the student gallery and send it to your friends and family by email!
