This course will teach you how to plan, design, and deploy Direct Routing to route calls outside the organization to the PSTN world using Microsoft certified SBCs.

Microsoft Teams as a Unified Communication Solution is incomplete without PSTN calling capabilities. As a Unified Communication and Collaboration expert, you are expected to plan, design and deploy the Direct Routing feature effectively not only to pass the MS-720 - Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer exam but also to discharge your job responsibilities as a Unified Communication Expert. In this course, Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer: Plan and Configure Direct Routing, you’ll learn how to route your organization’s calls to the PSTN world using the Direct Routing feature. First, you’ll explore the benefits of Direct Routing and what issues to consider when you plan Direct Routing. Next, you’ll discover how to deploy Direct Routing using the Teams Admin center and configure an SBC. Finally, you’ll learn how to deploy and maintain a Survivable Branch Appliance (SBA), Location Based Routing (LBR), on-network conferencing, gateway translation rules, and creating a validated emergency address. When you’ve finished this course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge of Microsoft Teams phone system needed to effectively deploy Direct Routing capabilities using SBCs for your organization needed to route the outside calls to PSTN.
