Overview
Virtual Reality is on the rise in the Game Development industry. This course will walk you through all of the basics of setting up art, sound, and interactions in a VR environment, and how to work with different types of hardware.
In this Unity tutorial, we'll learn the fundamentals for building virtual reality games and applications targeted to the Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR. We'll learn what the Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR are, how they work, and then we'll see how easy it is to start creating immersive experiences for both desktop and smartphones. We'll also see where to start when implementing VR natural user interfaces by leveraging a Leap Motion device for hands and fingers tracking. By the end of this Unity training, you'll have a firm grasp on the tools, techniques, and workflows needed to create your own VR games and apps. Software required: Unity 3D v5.1, Oculus SDK v0.6.0, Oculus Mobile SDK v0.6.1, Leap Motion SDK v2.2.6.
