Leveraging Network Interconnection Options on the GCP
Offered By: Pluralsight
Course Description
Overview
This course focuses on network interconnections where one or both of the connected networks are on the GCP. This includes understanding peering and interconnect as well as how shared VPCs and static and dynamic VPN are implemented.
The GCP provides a variety of networking services to interconnect different VPC networks on the GCP, as well as to connect on-premise installations with those on the cloud. Some of these involve the use of external IP addresses, while others support internal, or RFC 1918 IP addresses. Knowing the right interconnection technology for your use-case can get confusing. In this course, Leveraging Network Interconnection Options on the GCP, you will gain the ability to precisely understand the differing semantics of these interconnection options and configure the right one for your use case. First, you will learn the full range of available options, including both Peering and Interconnect options, as well as Shared VPCs, VPN, and VPC Peering. Next, you will discover how VPCs can be peered across projects or even organizations using VPC Network Peering. Finally, you will explore how to implement both static and dynamic VPN gateways. When you are finished with this course, you will have the skills and knowledge of the network interconnection options on the GCP needed to build efficient, fine-tuned connections between networks, whether those networks are on the GCP or on-premise.
