In this course, we're going to look at the animation portion for the Daydreamer short we produced. The goal of this fast-paced course is to give you insight into how the planning for this project took place, some of the key things you need to consider when tackling the animations for a project of this size. We'll discuss the importance of planning. How to approach the different stages of an animation, like blocking, refining and polish. As well as some important tips that can help you when animating on your own project. We will not be going step-by-step through the animation of all three characters, but instead take a high-level overview of the overall animation process, and the key techniques and workflows that were involved to create the finished animations. Since this is not going to be step-by-step it's recommended you have a good knowledge of Maya as well as the animation process. So it may be beneficial to first check out Introduction to Animation in Maya if you're new to animation. Software required: Maya 2016.
