In this Maya tutorial, we'll take a look at three of common types of animals that you'll be asked to work with as an animator. We'll start with a small, lightweight bird. We'll then move on to a quadruped walk with a cougar and finish up with a heavy rhino. We'll discuss line of action and focus on posing to get a good sense of weight. We'll also use some tricks to offset our animation to create a better performance. By the end of the Maya training, you'll be able to approach any type of animal animation with confidence.
