Presenting 3D Models Online
Offered By: Pluralsight
Course Description
Overview
In this course, we'll explore several options for uploading your 3D models in a way that will show them off in the best light and give viewers a great deal of flexibility in viewing them. Software required: Marmoset Toolbag 2, Maya 2016.
So you've created an amazing 3D model and you'd like to show the world? In the past, that meant posting images of different angles of your model and really limited the viewer's ability to appreciate the model. Over the course of the next several videos, you'll learn to upload our 3D models in a format that will allow users to see your models in all their glory - tumbling around them interactively and choosing how they'd like to view your models. We'll start by learning to use Marmoset Viewer, along with ArtStation, to customize and view your models. We'll also look at how we can preview our viewer files on our local machines. We'll also cover the use of Sketchfab to share your 3D artwork. You'll learn to manually upload your assets and how to use custom exporters to get your artwork online. We'll finish up by talking about customizing the look of your models in Sketchfab and even importing animated models! In the end, you'll be able to upload your own models to share with the world. Software required: Marmoset Toolbag 2, Maya 2016.
