Stanford experts discuss scenarios in which clinicians face challenging clinical scenarios in the diagnosis of epilepsy. Drs. Gallentine, Segren, and Spelbrink will utilize case-based learning to expand clinicians' differential diagnosis skills. This recorded webinar will touch on several exciting developing areas in the field, including 1. Infantile spasms – recognition, diagnosis, and treatment dilemmas, 2. Pediatric epilepsy surgery - the importance of identifying potential surgical candidates on long-term developmental outcomes, new minimally invasive epilepsy surgical techniques, and 3. Genetic testing in pediatric epilepsy – evolving diagnostic approaches and impact on treatment decisions.
