Course Description
Overview
Welcome to the Mooc on how to create and run an effective MOOC. The fundamental ideas are not hard but that may be a bit different to the ways you have approached teching before. In this course we will help you create your first MOOC and guide in designing and making it an effective and successful course.
Teachers of effective MOOCS find the experience very enjoyable a fulfilling. We will do our best to help you experience this pleasure!
Syllabus
1. Getting Started
In this module we discuss the philosophy and practice of MOOCs and Flipped Classrooms. We also look at different platforms where MOOCs and Flipped Classrooms can be deployed and share some best practices. At the end of this module, you will be able to decide the scope and size of your MOOC and create the landing page of your course on Open Learning.
2. Plan Your MOOC
We will work together to plan the content of your course building in key features to engage and empower students. At the end of this module you will be able to put the content and major features and activities of your course on Open Learning.
3. Exploring Open Learning
Open Learning is one of the most powerful platforms to offer MOOCs and Flipped Classrooms. This moduel will introduce you to the main features of Open Learning with the intention of building a thriving community in your MOOC.
4. Launch Your MOOC
By the time you do your module, you will be ready to launch your MOOC.
