Course Description

Overview

The course aims to educate learners on the short- and long-term harmful effects of alcohol on human health. By the end of the course, students will understand the biological effects of ethanol, the physical and psychological disturbances caused by hangovers, the long-term problems associated with chronic alcoholism such as alcoholic liver disease and nervous-system damage, as well as fetal alcohol syndrome. Additionally, students will explore treatment options for alcoholism and alcohol-related liver disorders. The teaching method involves theoretical content delivery, case studies, and practical examples.
