Course Description
Overview
This course aims to teach learners the definitions of bookkeeping, accounting, and reporting, as well as the reasons for and objectives of accounting. Students will learn about stewardship, accountability, planning, decision making, and control in accounting. The course covers both management and financial accounting, the main elements of accounting information including income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and the balance sheet. By the end of the course, students will be able to understand and interpret the main financial statements. The teaching method involves a combination of theoretical explanations, examples, and practical exercises. This course is designed for individuals interested in gaining a foundational understanding of financial accounting and reporting.
