Course Description
Overview
The course focuses on exploring what matters from both a caring and accountability perspective in relation to nature. By the end of the course, learners will be able to understand the influence of narratives, spiritual traditions, and environmental ethics on value and care for the environment. They will also learn about accounting for the consequences of environmental harm, economic valuation in ecological economics, social valuation towards ecological citizenship, and natural science valuation for ecological restoration. The teaching method involves a combination of theoretical discussions, case studies, and practical examples. This course is intended for individuals interested in environmental ethics, sustainability, ecological economics, and ecological restoration.
