Course Description
Overview
This course includes both theoretical and practical approaches to ethical issues and problems commonly encountered by public officials and employees, with a particular emphasis on Florida law. Ethical decision-making with interactive scenarios are included, as well as a description of the requirements of the Florida Sunshine and Public Records laws and the State and Federal laws on Bribery. Participants will receive valuable guidance in handling ethical dilemmas, as well as a grounding in some of the important legal standards governing the conduct of public servants.
