Course Description

Overview

As the convenience of online learning gains popularity among students who might otherwise forego advanced degrees, innovative universities have begun to offer massive open online courses (MOOCs) that allow students to try online learning at no cost. Entrepreneurship for Musicians, the Frost School of Music’s FREE 2-week sample MOOC course, allows you to experience a master’s level course taught by an active and accomplished faculty member. It also gives you the added bonus of an opportunity to earn credit toward a master’s degree.

If you have a heart for music and a head for business, Entrepreneurship for Musicians will give you the skills to:

  • Redirect your skills as a musician to business development
  • Create opportunities
  • Leverage your fundamental “multipreneurial” nature as a musician
  • Conceive, build and launch a music-related business

This course is a unique opportunity to experience the convenience of online learning along with the potential to earn credit if you decide to earn your master’s degree online from the Frost School of Music.
