Course Description
Overview
Yale Continuing Medical Education, ON DEMAND: Yale Epilepsy Virtual CME Series: A Monthly Live Case-Based Webinar, 10/5/2021 1:48:00 PM - 4/11/2025 2:48:00 PM, Epilepsy and seizures affect almost 3 million Americans of
all ages. Tremendous advances have been made in epilepsy treatment over the
years, including new pharmacological approaches, surgery, neurostimulation,
dietary modification and other nonpharmacological treatments. Despite these
advances, a large proportion of patients continue to have seizures, possibly
partially due to the gap between established therapies and recommended
treatments and the actual care patients receive. This series will provide participants
with the tools to stay up to date on new advances in the treatment of epilepsy
and related disorders, and will increase participants’ awareness of emerging
diagnostic and therapeutic options.
