Dartmouth Health Continuing Education for Professionals Home, Nursing Grand Rounds Excessive Alcohol Use: Nurses Role in Screening, Brief Intervention (Advice) & Referral for Treatment, 4/30/2021 8:00:00 AM - 4/30/2024 9:00:00 AM, Nurses encounter patients impacted by excessive alcohol use across all healthcare settings. This presentation will discuss the impact of excessive alcohol use on health and explore the underutilized role of the nurse in reducing risks related to excessive alcohol use.

At the conclusion of this learning activity, (at least 75% of) participants will be able to discuss the expanded role of the nurse in screening, intervention, and referral for patients with excessive alcohol use.
