Course Description
Overview
Typical and atypical characteristics in physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development of children with special needs. Topics relevant to the inclusive classroom are examined from a culturally sensitive, family-centered perspective. Examines current and historical legal issues, current educational trends, the referral process and community resources. TB test and observations required.
