Course Description
Overview
Introduction to basic concepts of sustainability and examination of connections among social, economic, and environmental systems in society. The course explores multiple sustainability models, the history of the environmental and sustainability movements, and the urgency of implementing sustainable systems throughout society and the workforce. Waste issues, climate change, and the biophilia hypothesis will also be examined through multiple lenses, including environmental justice and ecojustice. Students will learn about the exciting career opportunities that are emerging within the growing field of sustainability.
