Working with Connected Field Service for Dynamics 365 and Azure IoT
Offered By: Microsoft via Microsoft Learn
Course Description
Overview
- Module 1: This module will focus on the initial deployment of the Connected Field Service add-on for Dynamics 365 for Field Service. The module will walk you through the installation and an understanding of the components installed as part of the out of the box template application.
- Describe the difference between Azure IoT and Azure IoT Central and how they relate to Connected Field Service
- Set up an environment with Connected Field Service
- Identify the key components that comprise the Connected Field Service solution
- Describe the flow of data from an IoT device to Dynamics 365 for Field Service
- Module 2: Configure IoT devices to remotely monitor customer equipment.
- Explain the beginning and end process with Connected Field Service
- Explain and demonstrate the relationship between Customer Assets and IoT Devices
- Identify the components used to remotely interact with Devices
- Create automated processes for servicing equipment
- Module 3: Register and Manage Customer Devices with Connected Field Service.
- Differentiate IoT devices (physical and non-physical)
- Register and categorize IoT devices in Connected Field Service
- Use command and property definitions to simplify device management
- Use commands to interact with IoT devices
- Module 4: This module will focus on using IoT Central with Connected Field Service add-on for Dynamics 365 for Field Service. The module will walk you through building an IoT Central application and escalating the alerts into Dynamics 365.
- Describe Connected Field Service and Azure IoT Central
- Create and define an application in IoT Central
- Build rules in IoT Central that escalate to Dynamics 365
- Register and send commands to devices
- Module 5: This module will focus on the proactive detection of anomalies in the IoT device telemetry. Additionally, this module will cover the customization of the Connected Field Service components to handle different telemetry from the device and options for storing detail data for future analysis.
- Describe the architectural extension points for exception detection and action
- Connect a device to generate telemetry
- Implement anomaly detection on the telemetry stream
- Distinguish options for storing detail telemetry for later usage
