Overview

  • Module 1: Do you want to know how to get started with inventory replenishment in Business Central? This module will focus on how to set up requisition management and explains the differences between the requisition worksheet and the planning worksheet. You also can explore how to enter lines manually in the requisition worksheet.

    • By the end of this module, you will be able to:

    • Set up requisition management in Business Central
    • Understand the differences between the requisition worksheet and the planning worksheet
    • Enter lines manually in the requisition worksheet
    • Set up an item vendor catalog
    • Create a purchase order from the requisition worksheet
  • Module 2: Do you want to use inventory planning in Business Central? This module provides information about how to set up items for inventory planning. It also will discuss the replenishment systems and reordering policies, and how to set parameters like the reorder point and maximum inventory.

    • By the end of this module, you will be able to:

    • Assign a replenishment system to an item
    • Understand the concept of stock keeping units in Business Central
    • Classify items and assign a reordering policy
    • Set up planning options for an item
  • Module 3: Once all item planning options are set, you can use the requisition or planning worksheet to have Business Central create planning suggestions. This module explains how to use options to calculate a plan and how to interpret action messages.

    • By the end of this module, you will be able to:

    • Calculate a plan from the requisition and planning worksheet
    • Enter the planning time period
    • Understand the action messages
    • Change the planning flexibility of a replenishment line
    • Check the order tracking of a planning line
