Overview

Module 1: Do you want to keep track of the maintenance of your fixed assets? This module explains how to set up fixed asset maintenance information in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

In this module, you will:

Set up maintenance information on the fixed asset card.
Configure the fixed asset posting groups to post maintenance to the general ledger.
Create maintenance codes to select the type of maintenance when you are posting maintenance costs.

Module 2: Do you want to know how to register and post maintenance costs to fixed assets in Business Central? This module explores how to record relevant information and how to post the maintenance cost through a purchase invoice or a journal.

In this module, you will:

Manage service visits.
Record maintenance costs through a purchase document.
Record maintenance costs through a fixed assets journal.
Analyze maintenance costs.

Module 3: Do you want to know how to keep track of insurance information in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central? This module shows how to set up general information about an insurance policy in Business Central.

In this module, you will:

Configure the fixed assets setup card with insurance information.
Create insurance types.
Create insurance policies.
Set the insurance coverage.
Set up insurance journals.

Module 4: Do you want to assign assets to insurance policies in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central? This module shows how you can accomplish this task through a purchase document or through the insurance journal.

In this module, you will:

Link an insurance policy in a fixed asset’s purchase document.
Link an insurance policy in a fixed assets journal.
Use the insurance journal to link a fixed asset to an insurance policy.
