Overview

  • Module 1: This module walks through development of Office Add-ins for Microsoft Word.
  • By the end of this module, you'll be able to:

    • Create a Word add-in that uses the Word JavaScript API to manipulate a document
    • Demonstrate how to add and edit content in a Word document
    • Explain how to deploy and host a custom add-in for Microsoft Word
  • Module 2: This module walks through development of Office add-ins for Microsoft Excel.
  • By the end of this module, you will be able to:

    • Create an Excel add-in that uses the Excel JavaScript API to manipulate a workbook
    • Demonstrate how to add and edit content in an Excel document
    • Explain how to deploy and host a custom add-in for Microsoft Excel
  • Module 3: This module walks through development of Office add-ins for Microsoft Outlook.
  • By the end of this module, you'll be able to:

    • Create an Outlook add-in that uses the Outlook JavaScript API to manipulate a document
    • Demonstrate how to access and edit content in an email
    • Explain how to deploy and host a custom add-in for Microsoft Outlook
  • Module 4: This module explains how to use single sign-on in Office Add-ins.
  • By the end of this module, you'll be able to:

    • Understand how Office Add-ins can leverage SSO to call Microsoft Graph
    • Create Word add-in that leverages SSO to call Microsoft Graph
    • Create an Excel add-in that leverages SSO to call Microsoft Graph
    • Create an Outlook add-in that leverages SSO to call Microsoft Graph
