  • Module 1: Learn how to choose between Azure CNI and kubenet, two networking plugin options for an Azure Kubernetes Service cluster.

By the end of this module, you'll be able to:

    • "Understand what a Kubernetes network plugin is"
    • "Understand the pros, cons, and limitations of kubenet"
    • "Know how to deploy an AKS cluster with kubenet"
    • "Understand the pros, cons, and limitations of Azure CNI"
    • "Know how to deploy an AKS cluster with Azure CNI"
  • Module 2: In this module, we take a detailed look at the process of designing an Azure Kubernetes Service network using the Azure Container Network Interface (CNI) plug-in.

By the end of this module, you're able to:

    • List the key Kubernetes resource types that require network access.
    • Assess an application's needs and how that could affect network design.
    • Understand the steps to size an Azure Kubernetes Service cluster for a workload.
    • Design a network for an Azure Kubernetes Service cluster using Azure CNI
  • Module 3: Apply the latest version upgrades and patches to your Azure Kubernetes Service clusters.

By the end of this module, you'll be able to:

    • Understand what Kubernetes versions are supported by Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS).
    • Upgrade your existing Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) clusters components to the latest supported Kubernetes version.
    • Understand how to adopt a Blue/Green deployment to upgrade your Azure Kubernetes Services clusters in a production environment.
  • Module 4: In this module, we'll discuss how to use Azure Policy for Kubernetes to enforce rules and detect non-compliance in AKS clusters.

By the end of this module, you'll be able to:

    • Deploy the Azure Policy and Azure Monitor add-on for Azure Kubernetes Service
    • Use Azure Policy to enforce rules and manage compliance state of your Azure Kubernetes Service cluster
    • Monitor cluster compliance status using Azure Policy
    • Run queries to see runtime operation of policies in AKS clusters
