Lab - Amazon Neptune Query Tuning (Gremlin)

In this lab you learn to use Amazon Neptune Explain (explain) and Amazon Neptune Profile (profile) to understand how Neptune processes queries and identify opportunities to improve query performance.

Objectives

• Interact with Neptune using a Notebook in the Neptune Workbench.
• Query Neptune using Gremlin queries.
• Generate and evaluate Neptune Explain and Neptune Profile output.
• Applying Neptune Gremlin query tuning principles.
• Review system-level database metrics.
• Resize a Neptune database.

Prerequisites

• A practical understanding of database query usage
• Familiarity with Amazon Neptune
• Familiarity with Gremlin graph traversal language
