Overview
This course provides an overview of strategic planning for a creative career, with particular emphasis on budgeting tools, insights, and analysis within creative careers and building diverse sources of income.
Syllabus
- Budgeting Basics
- In this session, we’ll learn how budgeting helps make you more mindful of your finances and go through the steps of a budgeting process.
- Building a Creative Portfolio Career
- In this first session, we'll be introduced to some goal setting tips and best practices, along with an overview of starting your own Portfolio Career.
- Budgeting Analysis
- In this session, we’ll use what we’ve learned from the previous session and effectively apply that budgeting data towards personal and professional evaluations and decision-making.
- So You’ve Got this XLS…
- This session will be an overview on tracking relevant data for your creative practice on Microsoft Excel. Different aspects of Excel, such as building charts to writing formulas, will be discussed.
