Our Wonderful Universe

The basic idea of this MOOC is to empower teachers from all levels of educations to teach space and astronomy related topics to their students. The MOOC is built in such a way so that all teachers can participate, focusing especially on those who are interested in astronomy but never had the opportunity to learn more about it or have very little background information and do not feel comfortable to communicate basic information about our universe to their students.

More specifically, during the four modules of the course, we will:

• Present and communicate basic information about the Sun, the Moon, the Earth and other planets, as well as other celestial objects
• Tackle misconceptions about space and astronomy
• Introduce fun activities and learn how to use them at school or at home
• Raise awareness on different space missions and space careers.

On the course we will be reflecting, discussing and sharing with each other about these topics. You will find a community of like-minded professionals on the course who can support each other in improving
