Developing and Deploying Microservices with Microclimate

IMPORTANT UPDATE: We are reaching out to let you know that the IBM Microservices Specialization will be removed from Coursera on January 13, 2020. If you are interested in earning a Specialization Certificate, you will need to complete all 4 courses of the Specialization by January 12, 2020.

Separately, if you are interested in earning Course Certificate for this course, please upgrade or apply for Financial Aid by January 12, 2020, if you have not already done so. If you are a Coursera for Business learner, you can continue to use your sponsored credit. In order to earn a Course Certificate, you will need to complete all graded assignments by April 12, 2020. After that point, no new assignment submissions will be accepted for Certificate credit.

Course introduction
-This module introduces the course and covers the fundamentals of microservices that are prerequisite knowledge for the course. If you completed the course, Microservices - Fundamentals, or you already have a working knowledge of microservices, you can skip the lessons that are labelled "optional." You must complete all graded quizzes in the course.

Introduction to Microclimate
-This unit introduces Microclimate, a Docker-ized, end-to-end development environment that you can use to generate microservices in Java, Node, and Swift.

Developing applications with Microclimate
-This module covers the basics of developing microservices applications. You also learn how to create, build, and test a simple application in a local environment with Microclimate.

Application deployment and DevOps
-In this module, you learn how to deploy a Microclimate application on IBM Cloud Private. You also learn about the DevOps capabilities of Microclimate with IBM Cloud Private.
