3D Wooden Textiles for Beginners
Offered By: Domestika
Course Description
Overview
Make flexible wooden textiles by measuring, cutting, and binding wood veneer and learning how to transform it into 3D structures
Orli Tesler and Itamar Mendelovitch, the founders of textile studio Tesler + Mendelovitch, use those stories to create unique textiles using wood veneer. By constantly experimenting and adapting their techniques to each project, they are able to construct three-dimensional objects that are both beautiful and sustainable.
In this online course, they teach you how to use veneer to create malleable wood textiles at home. Learn how to cut, bind, and finish wood veneer, then transform it into a custom wall panel from scratch. Challenge the limits of what you can make with wood.
