Overview
Expand your understanding of the potential for transformative impact of digital health on hospital administration and build your capacity to improve hospital digital information systems and technology solutions from a non-technical perspective.
In this microcredential, using real examples and interviews with industry experts, we will investigate the hospital digital health landscape and assess digital technologies and solutions.
We will critically explore concerns with digital health approaches, and consider implications of digital technologies for hospital administrators.
This microcredential is a pathway for Deakin’s MBA (Healthcare Management) and a number of other healthcare degrees. The microcredential includes three (3) assessment tasks including two case study analyses and a research report. Successful completion offers credit towards a qualification at postgraduate level.

-Explore the hospital digital health landscape, the characteristics and use of digital data.
Course 2: Patient Information Management
-Examine challenges of integrated hospital digital health systems and future trends including the shift to agile digital systems.
Course 3: Technologies for Hospital Digital Health
-Explore infrastructure and the benefits and challenges of emerging technologies in hospital contexts.
Course 4: Critical Success Factors
-Analyse key stakeholders and success factors for digital hospital implementation and adoption.
Course 5: Re-inventing Hospital Administration
-Critically reflect on hospital digital health, evolving work practices, skills and roles.
