Course Description
Overview
Welcome to “The Way Forward – Easing the Transition: Life Skills (Spring 2017)” Adjusting from military to civilian life can be both exciting and challenging for the member and family. Knowing what to expect and where to find assistance is important in creating a smooth transition to “Civvie Street”.
The goal of the resources is to assist members in their transition to civilian life and provide a preliminary tool to access resources that support them and their family’s holistic needs during the crucial period of transitioning out of the military.
The online resources will address key elements found when transitioning. The resources have been separated into five distinct units (Introduction, Family, Education and Employment, Mental Health and Resources). Found within these units are modules that will provide the material to help in the transition.
The goal of the online resource is to lessen the stress and frustration associated with transitioning out of the military.
