Course Description
Overview
Registration is open from September 22 until October 13, 2014.
Take this course to see how you can integrate Web 2.0 technologies into your classroom and create an engaging student experience. Discuss your current use of technology tools and find new tools to try. Create a blog and use social bookmarking as a means for sharing ideas, organizing tools, and reflecting on best practices. Engage yourself in model lessons in a variety of subjects and experience Web 2.0 for yourself, then try it with your own students.
Participants of this course will learn about various Web 2.0 tools and gain familiarity on how to incorporate them into different subject areas while supporting Common Core Standards. Discussions will focus on sharing ideas, resources, and best practices for using web technologies in the classroom. At the end, participants will develop a sample lesson using the tools from the course or new ones they discovered and share it with the class.
