Course Description
Overview
In this course, five individuals share their personal experience about living with dementia. Care providers will explore evidence-informed, person-centred approaches to support a person living with dementia, as well as their care partners and family.
This course is designed for unregulated care providers (personal support workers, healthcare aides, health care assistants, continuing care assistants, home health aides, home support workers, resident aides, home care assistants, personal attendants, nursing assistants) across Canada. The course content incorporates support for unregulated care providers supporting people living in long-term care homes, retirement living, and home and community settings.
