Course Description
Overview
Registration is open from November 3, 2014 until January 16, 2015.
This course will provide participants with an overview of behavioral interventions for children and adults with autism spectrum disorders. Topics surveyed will include evidence-based treatment, discrete trial and naturalistic teaching, verbal behavior, alternative and augmentative communication, assessment and treatment of challenging behaviors, social skills instruction, adult and lifespan issues, and the professional discipline of behavior analysis. Upon completion of the course, participants will recognize the important characteristics of each of these types of interventions, and will share a brief project on an intervention of his or her choosing with the class.
