Course Description
Overview
In this course, learners will be introduced to the capstone project and learn how to integrate the design thinking process in business problem solving. In addition, learners will develop a prototype and get feedback from peers.
Syllabus
- Introduction to Capstone and Design Thinking
- This module introduces you to the capstone project. It also discusses the steps involved in design thinking. Finally, it provides a foundation for analyzing the role of design thinking in solutions development.
- Design Thinking: Empathize and Define
- This module describes the design thinking steps: empathize and define. It also discusses the process of developing customer personas and the steps to create a customer profile.
- Design Thinking: Ideate and Prototype
- This module introduces learners to the design thinking steps: ideate and prototype. It describes the process of brainstorming and how it is used to prototype a solution.
- Design Thinking: Test
- The finale module of this course introduces learners to the design thinking step: test. It covers the steps taken to test the prototype discussed in the previous module.
