Overview
The course “Dentistry and Human Life” is composed of 8 introductory lectures on dentistry. The Dentistry is the discipline of convergence applications, often summarized as art and science. In this course, you can learn basic but diverse perspectives of dentistry as a science and life cultures. All these lectures are for non-majors, so they are not limited to scientific contents, but they are composed of easy contents related to our real daily life. In this course, we will cover the following topics with several interesting stories that are not widely known about dentistry.
l Dental humanities: Interesting stories about our teeth and jaw structures
l History of dentistry : When and where it begins
l For dental health : Toothbrush and toothpastes
l Basic anatomic structures for understanding dentistry
l Dental pains and its proper treatment for recovering function
l Orthodontics and orthognathic surgery for better esthetics
l Other various specialties of dentistry
l Future of the dentistry
